Match Report
St Andrew's College Boys-U16A vs  Woodridge College
On: Saturday, 13 Jul 2019
Venue: at Home

College played good structured hockey through most of the game. We scored 2 early goals through good team efforts and excellent finishing by Jurie Norval on both occasions. Notably Mitch Lowe and Murray Bowker distributed efficiently, while David Redfern defended well cutting out a number of threatening attacks. Antony Baker, Nick Holmes and Mumbi Kayula ran particularly hard in the midfield. Dylan Marx had an outstanding game and so earned his first cap for the 1st Team later in the day. College unfortunately missed a number of very good opportunities in the second quarter which would have made it very difficult for Woodridge to get back into the game. Instead Woodridge scored against the run of play with a quick counter goal from a College short corner. This made it 2-1 and changed the nature of the game. In the 3rd quarter Woodridge scored a good structured goal from a turnover to make it 2-2. College thereafter had a number of goal scoring opportunities and could easily have put 3 more in the net. It was not to be and so ended in 2-2 draw.
