Match Report
St Andrew's College Boys-U16A vs  Cambridge High School
On: Friday, 17 May 2019
Venue: at Home

Cambridge played a quick counter attacking style of hockey. College had most of the possession and spent the greater part of the game on the attack but struggled to convert (having 5 to 1 circle entries). When we turned over the possession the Cambridge side threaded through some good long passes to their forwards giving them some good opportunities. They were able to score first through one of these counters which resulted in a short corner. College then scored within two minutes to equalise through a good structured attack and some excellent individual skill from Nick Lane. The half line was disciplined in breaking down the counters through some excellent marking and tackling, notably Bowker and Redfern closed down some dangerous attacks. Aidan Jarvis at goal keeper also pulled off a critical save when he had a one on one with the Cambridge Centre forward. Going into the 4th quarter the scores were still level but with continued pressure and some good interlinking between the links and forwards College scored 2 quick goals to settle the match. Dylan Marx getting the final touches on some good team play. College won 3-1.
