The Four Squares struggled to build constructive attacking platforms in the first half conceding possession too often, too quickly making it easy for Queen’s to attack and put pressure on the College defence. Poor finishing and good defensive structures kept the score sheet blank but there were far too many misses and th3 College side could count themselves lucky to have still been in the game at half time.

The second half saw Queen’s attack in the early stages and the College defence was, once again superb in keeping them out. Jono Shamwana making three saves in quick succession to deny the Queen’s strikers. James Mullins delivered an aerial which found atom Russell clear of th3 Queen’s defence to sccore a well-taken goal. This settled the College side and rattled the Queen’s side, who had definitely had the better of th3 match until then.
