Match Report
St Andrew's College 1st XI vs  Graeme College
On: Wednesday, 08 May 2019
Venue: Away

A waterlogged Rhodes meant that the venue was moved to Webster for this derby clash. College made a good start and turned the ball over regularly inside the Graeme half. The territorial pressure and clinical passing of the College side gained them an early advantage as Nick Barlow struck a well-executed shot to put the Four Squares 1-0 up. Although Graeme had some attacks via a long-ball game, the College defence was not really under much threat and continued to dominate the midfield. Tim Simpson, Jono Moremi, Ryan Stoddart and James Mullins were all exceptionally hard-working in defence and attack. The College defence, controlled by Peter Voges, was disciplined and composed in dealing with the opposition attacks. The second half saw the College side continue to dominate with numerous D entries and PC's, however the Graeme defence and keeper, in particular, made some superb saves to deny the College strikers more goals on the day. The College side can be satisfied with a solid performance, and the 3-0 victory, 1 day into the new term.
